Our Ethics

Here at Natural Dog we pride ourselves on our ethical approach to nutrition, manufacturing and business. All Natural Dog Food Company products are produced according to our strict ethical code of practice. At every stage we strive to do what is best for the dog, owner, environment and the world at large.


For the dog:

We do not use synthetic chemical additives of any kind
We do not use by-products, derivatives or fillers of any kind
We avoid any all ingredients commonly linked with intolerances or allergies


For the owner:

We are committed to keeping our products as affordable as possible for our customers.
As a result, many lower quality foods are priced well above Natural Dog Food. The ingredients list is always the best indication of quality – not the price tag.


For the community:

We only support local, independent pet shops so you won’t find Natural Dog Food in supermarkets or pet superstores.


For the environment:

All ingredients are sourced as locally as possible to reduce transport carbon emissions:
Whole grains grown alongside our factory
Herbs and vegetables from Cambridgeshire
British meats
We use only non-intensively farmed British meats:
English chickens and turkeys with full access to outside
Sustainably farmed Scottish salmon
Pasture fed Welsh lambs
Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from organic farming systems.
We are firmly against invasive animal testing of any kind.
The only testing we conduct is with our lucky ‘tasting panel’ made up of the dogs of our staff, friends and family that get to try each new line to see how it tastes. Since all of our ingredients are human grade, no further testing is necessary.
